John the Baptist, the prophetic tradition, and the educator’s vocation

Yesterday, I gave the talk for our chapel (to a mostly empty building!). Since last Sunday’s reading included Mark 1:1-8, that’s my passage. Also, because I’ve spent some time thinking about John the Baptist.

  1. Great to see you preaching/teaching… first time for me. Good job on clear explanation and on a good application for both your role and the students or others listening. Getting less afraid (and other positives, whenever they can be added) of “the other” is indeed at the heart of what’s dividing us so much these days. Not new, for sure, but it’s been heightened and exploited lately.
